Our philosophy about recording is simply to encourage up and coming (no matter what age) musicians to get access to the best equipment we can afford, for the least amount of money we can afford. The studio is the dream of Paul Kearns and one could say that it has been in the design stage for nearly 30 years!
We do not allow others to use the studio without one of us being present. Naturally, if you have experience of using such equipment, then you are welcome to do so and we'll take a back seat. We can record up to 256 tracks in crystal clear digital sound. We can only at present record 12 tracks in one go. Although we are looking at raising that to 24 if the demand is there. Once you have recorded the tracks you want, we will help you mix down your music using some all or none of the hundreds of effects we have available. You can preview your creations through our Behringer Studio Monitors which allow you to hear your music as it is meant to be heard. If you (and your band) are used to "doing it live", then we have an in house 2500 Watt PA system to give you that "live" feel. Once you are happy with the mix and overall sound, we put it through our mastering suite (to get the CD levels right etc) and burn it onto a CD for you. We subscribe to the PRS - so we can get advice on copyright issues for you and make sure that your new creation is not ripped off (surely no-one in the music industry would do such a thing!!!).
